Multi-agent systems and who is allowed to pay

A multi-agent system is a set of programs that hand work to each other. ZeusAI publishes an agent commerce protocol at /agents and a machine-readable catalog at /agents.json. An agent can request a quote and, if the offer is buyable, open the same checkout a person uses.
Loading a page is not a purchase. A bot, a crawler, and an agent are not added to the buyer ledger because they fetched HTML. The ledger on /origin moves when a settlement is confirmed.
There is no rented swarm of employees on the shelf. If a card says the engagement is a kickoff, paying does not hire a team of agents to run your company. The clock on the card is the contract.
Agent checkout still has to show a real offer id, a price, and a rail that is actually configured. Bitcoin is live. Other rails appear only when their keys exist. An agent that skips that check is not using the protocol.
Read /agents before you connect anything that can spend money. Then read /refund. Autonomous payment does not delete the refund contract or the owner email.
